Friday found six club members in a day long, one-on-one, immersive session with Keith Gotschall.  Techniques were honed.  Wood was turned.  Life was good!

      On Thursday, April 14th, 20 + Montrose Area Woodturners gathered for a day-long demonstration by professional woodturner, Keith Gotschall of Salida, Colorado.

     Keith is an artist in many media including:  furniture design, stone sculpture and, of course, woodturning.  Keith shared techniques and stories for making winged bowls and off-center platters.
     At the lunch break, Keith served as honorary judge for the club competition – box making.  What some people will do for pizza!
